About Us

The blessing of pregnancy usually calls for a joyful celebration.  But for those caught in the cycle of poverty, addiction, or abuse, pregnancy is an additional challenge that can lead to abandonment and despair.

Since 1985, Tender Life Maternity Home has been empowering at-risk pregnant women to become confident, capable parents and thriving members of society.  By meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, we’re able to stop the cycle and positively impact future generations.  When a woman comes to Tender Life, she is welcomed with open arms by our family-style model of ministry.  We are a Christ-centered, faith-based program, and we provide her with love and support in a structured environment.  We are often her first example of a healthy, supportive community.

Our beautiful, turn-of-the-century home is in downtown Ventura and is equipped with four bedrooms that can accommodate up to eight mothers and their children at a time. Our property also has a graduate house on campus for two mothers and their children. 

Tender Life continues to change and save lives, two generations at a time. An additional home was purchased in 2023 and is under renovation.  We look forward to it doubling the impact that will provide additional housing as we continue to walk alongside moms.
